Candelilla Wax

Extracted from the stems of candelilla shrubs growing on plateaus between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level in Mexico and the United States. Due to extreme temperature fluctuations and low rainfall in these regions, the candelilla plant has evolved to secrete a protective wax coating to survive harsh environmental conditions. Candelilla wax is particularly suitable for lipsticks, lip balms, and creams due to its firm texture and glossy finish.

Applications: Suitable for lipsticks, lip balms, creams, lotions, and solid perfumes.

Solubility: Oil-soluble (requires heating to approx. 68°C–72°C to melt)

Appearance: Yellow wax pellets

Origin: USA

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and open flames.
