In cold process and hot process soaps, it yields warm tones ranging from soft yellow and golden amber to deep bronze, depending on the pH value of the soap and the usage percentage.

Rhubarb possesses excellent astringent and clarifying properties that deeply purify the skin and regulate sebum secretion, making it an ideal choice for cleansing formulas tailored to oily, acne-prone, or blemish-prone skin types. When incorporated directly into soap, the fine rhubarb powder provides a gentle physical exfoliation during bathing, helping to slough away dead skin cells and restore smoothness to the skin. In traditional herbal applications, rhubarb is also commonly used topically to clear heat, detoxify, disperse swelling, and dispel blood stasis.
